To inspire the church to transform the World
At ROCKHARBOR, we believe that the first step into mission is to pray. One of the most practical ways to step into Mission either Globally or Locally is to begin praying for God’s work and will to be done.
The Next Step in engaging in ROCKHARBOR’s Missions Ministries would be to give. We strongly believe that giving is a great way to not only engage in missions locally or globally but a way for us to be aware of the things that God may be calling us to in the future. The above and beyond giving towards mission gives the opportunity to surrender more of your life to Christ.
Our heart at ROCKHARBOR is that once you have engaged in Praying for our missions ministries, and giving towards our missions ministries that you would be lead to GO with our missions ministries. This can be done in many ways. Our local initiatives are a great way to step into missions if you are just beginning- or if you are a missions trip veteran. Christ calls us to serve in our own communities (Acts 1:8 “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” ) and we are always blessed when we do.
If you are interested in Global missions we have many opportunities across our campus’s for you to step into trips that are heading out. Most trips go either in the winter, or in the summer- so check out our country specific pages or email firstname.lastname@example.org to see when the next trips are heading out and to get more information.
The last step in getting involved with Missions ministries at ROCKHARBOR is simply to Live. Our hope is that you would begin to notice that Missions is a daily ministry. Whether you serve once weekly in one of our local initiatives, or once yearly on one of our Global trips- we believe that the in-between is just as important. Christ call us to live missionally whenever and wherever we are (Matthew 9:37-38 “ Then he said to his disciples. ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the Harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.’”). Just as you participate in specific missions ministries it is important to understand that living a missional life is exactly what being a Christian is. The more you step into missions the more in step you’ll be with the heart of the Father.
So look for opportunities to step into more in your everyday.
If you are serving locally, look for ways to expand your involvement- to meet a need that isn’t being met.
If you are passionate about our Global Ministries, consider leading a team, or serving on the lead team.
